Our Classrooms
Infants
An ideal environment for infants is one that stimulates their senses without over-stimulating them. At ABC 123 Early Learning Center our teachers provide a warm and secure home-away-from-home for infants to grow at their own pace. Our Infant center welcomes infants ages 6 weeks-12months. This setting is ideal for providing your infant with the calm, loving environment they deserve.
Babies are held during feedings, rocked to feel loved, and spend time on their tummies to discover the world around them. Tummy time is divided into periods that each individual infant will tolerate. At other times, infants have opportunities to roll, kick, reach for toys, and practice motions needed to crawl, stand, sit and walk. Music is also very important at this age, so we play soothing music for naptime along with familiar tunes that they learn to recognize at other times throughout their day.

We feel, that at this young age, the child should set his or her own schedules; therefore, we have flexible infant schedules.

Toddlers
Our toddler classrooms provide an environment of exploration for our children with plenty of room for movement and physical development. Our teachers encourage the toddlers to listen to and follow very simple directions. We encourage their verbal skills to develop by reading to them often and talking to them about the world around them. Sign language is also used in order to strengthen their communication skills.
Our teachers work to foster social skills such as listening, learning how to treat one another, problem solving techniques, and manners. They also foster cognitive, motor, verbal, and social skills. A bright, cheerful classroom encourages stimulation along with songs, puzzles, crafts, and stories.
Twos
Early preschoolers (typically 2-3 years old) continue to explore the world around them. At this age, children are more mobile and enjoy discovering an inquiring about new things in their environment.

At age 2, you now have a little conversationalist Most 2-year-olds have a vocabulary of about 50 words. It is so important to continue to develop their love of language by asking questions and being patient with all if their responses. We read books and have them read to us and encourage their interaction and interpretation of their world around them.

Our teachers reinforce these age-appropriate developments through songs, finger plays, short stories, center time, and circle time. A bright, cheerful classroom encourages stimulation. Routine and structure are extremely important for this age, so we make sure to incorporate both into each child's day.

Preschool
Your preschooler (typically 3–4-year-old) is more than just curious about the world around them. They have now formed the thought process of thinking symbolically. They can mentally represent objects, actions, and events. They are using their imaginations, and you can see this through their make-believe play. Our teachers encourage this learning process by offering hands-on activities while following a curriculum with a balance of child-initiated and teacher- facilitated lessons.

Pre-Kindergarten
Our Pre-Kindergarten teachers work closely with each of our students to perfect and sharpen the skills they will need for Kindergarten. It is our ultimate goal to ensure that all of our students are emotionally, physically, cognitively, and behaviorally prepared for the demands of a Kindergarten classroom. Students should be able to follow instructions, communicate effectively, and exhibit good listening skills. They should also be able to display self-control, get along with and relate to others, and actively participate in physical activities.

ABC 123 Early Learning Center understands that our Pre-K children are still very young and will learn best if they enjoy their learning experiences. Therefore, our curriculum continues to reinforce concept development through the use of songs, stories, centers, and circle time. These activities are combined with more structured teacher- directed skills reinforcement either one-on-one or in small groups. Math and Science topics are integrated throughout the day in order to foster interest. A passion and love for reading will be passed down to them through involved and interactive story times. They will be able to retell stories and, in the process, learn sequencing. Pre-writing skills are enhanced through the use of journal dictation and illustration. Many of our students have shown that they are ready for such enrichment activities as recognition and reading sight words and understanding simple addition facts.

By the end of each student's time in our Pre- K class, they have become confident learners, and we are proud of all that they have learned and the little person they have become!
